  • When most of us look in the mirror, we would prefer a much leaner reflection to be staring back at us. Those pesky tummy rolls, the skyscraper hips, the thunder thighs, and the triple chins are all composed of a large accumulation of fat cells. The fat gets stored on our bodies when we consume more calories than we burn, and it stays there until we resolve to do something about it.

    The cabbage soup diet is a good starting point to weight loss according to experts. It entails, as the name suggests, eating cabbage soup for seven days or a week. During the week long scheme, the one who engages in this diet consume specific foods to decrease his poundage. Unlike most programs, the cabbage soup diet is not a life altering diet.

    The good fats are found in olives, olive oil, oily fish and nuts. In extra virgin olive oil, the balance of omega-6 to omega-3 is almost perfect, getting close to 1:1.     At the clinic's reception desk, I filled out a simple form then I was told to go to another floor and wait at door three.     These lifestyle changes are important, too. Don't be like a good friend of mine who always used to say, "Hey...who the...put a vegetable on my plate?" His hit him like a bulldozer, and he's still recovering over a year later.

    At least once a week, eat cold-water fish (again 4 ounces) such as salmon. Avoid potatoes and white flour. When you bake use whole-wheat, stone-ground flour. When you fry use olive or canola oil.

    Note: Before you start a new exercise program, always check with your heart doctor first. He or she is best equipped to decide about your ability to exercise, how soon, and how much.

    We arrived at the Bakersfield heart hospital early Sunday morning. Randy collapsed and the emergency team quickly took him in and ran a battery of tests. When I was called in the doctor was finishing writing his report and didn't look up at me. While continuing to write he told me that he was prescribing an antibiotic for acute bronchitis.

    Following the nucleoplasty, Randy was sent home the same day... another bumpy drive down the 401 in Los Angeles. A short one-week job had opened up in a town 2-hours from Bakersfield, so Randy and I went to work that job just one-day following his nucleoplasty. None of the doctors had given Randy any restrictions at that point and no one thought he needed time off of work. We missed that red flag entirely!

    The Diet is everything you need. 10lbs in a week! Be a size 2 in a month! You won't starve with this diet! This diet promises everything and the moon, and you read on, thinking this is your miracle cure.

    Getting railroaded without included doctor's visits. How many visits should be included in a contract? That will depend on each individual, but you know it should be at least 2 or 3 before you are entirely comfortable with the device. Many audiologists cannot program a device properly on the first try, as it's a difficult art. The more leeway you have, the more likely it is that you will be happy in the end.
